HOW TO MAKE POTATO FRITTERS

These potato fritters are ideal for breakfast, lunch, or supper due to their speed and ease of preparation. These tasty potato and zucchini fritters are perfect for vegetarians and will be a hit with the entire family since they only need a few ingredients.

These potato fritters are great for breakfast, lunch, or supper since they take very little time to make and are quite simple to do so. These fritters, which only need a few basic ingredients to prepare, are certain to become an instant favorite in your household.

You may prepare them for breakfast or brunch with a fried egg and some avocado on top, or you can prepare them for lunch or supper by pairing them with a side salad or some vegetables. Either way, the meal will be delicious. These potato and zucchini fritters may stand on their own as a meal in and of themselves. If you were having these for morning, a fried egg and some avocado mash would go very well on top of them. A simple side salad or some vegetables would be an excellent choice for either lunch or supper.

IN ORDER TO PREPARE A BATCH OF THESE POTATO FRITTERS, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS ON HAND:

Peeled potatoes; I used 2 large sized.

A large Zucchini.

A small finely diced Yellow Onion.

One Egg.

1 Cup.Of Grated Cheddar Cheese.

½ Cup.Of Self Raising Flour.

½ Cup.Of milk.

1 Tsp.Of Garlic Powder.

Salt and black Pepper; to taste.

For frying; I prefer using Olive Oil.

PREPARATION:

Step 1:

Grate the zucchini and potato into a strainer, then place the colander in the sink and let it sit there for ten minutes.

Step 2:

Wring it out with your hands to remove any excess moisture, and then place it in a clean dish designed for mixing.

Step 3:

In a mixing bowl, combine egg, onion, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper by vigorously stirring all of the ingredients together.

Step 4:

After sprinkling flour over the top (not just in one area, but all over the bowl), mix the ingredients together well. The next step is to add the milk and blend everything well.

Step 5:

Prepare the oil in the frying pan by heating it over medium heat. Spread the mixture in the pan using the reverse side of the spatula after adding one heaping spoonful of the mixture.

Step 6:

Continue with the remaining portion of the mixture, being sure not to overwhelm the pan by cooking in several batches (I usually fit 4 fritters in each batch).

Step 7:

Cook for three to four minutes on each side, until the meat is brown and crispy. Immediately serve after cooking.
