Apple Butter

One of the most popular edible gifts to give during the holiday season, Apple butter that has a fresh apple flavor, with deep spicy undertones, and a very silky texture.

This makes a healthy and delicious spread that can be used in place of butter on a roll, a slice of toast, or a warm cookie, let’s start with the ingredients.

Ingredients:

6 1/2 pounds applesauce, peeled, seeded, and sliced.

Half a cup of granulated sugar.

Half a cup of packed brown sugar.

Half a tbsp. of ground cinnamon.

Salt: 1/4 tsp.

Vanilla extract: 1 tbsp.


Directions:

Step 1

First, put the apples in a slow cooker.

Step 2: 

Then, add sugars, cinnamon, salt and vanilla to the crockpot, and blend well.

Step 3: 

At this moment, cook in a slow cooker over low heat for approximately 10 hours, and stir every two hours (apple butter should be thick and dark brown).

Step 4: 

You can use a blender to puree the apple butter until it becomes smooth.

Step 5: 

Finally, cover let cool to 2 weeks, or freeze in a small container.
