When I go to my favorite Chinese restaurant, I always have pepper steak since it is one of my go-to orders. This homemade version may be made in a few minutes and tastes just as good as the one from the restaurant.
There is nothing more satisfying than a mouthwatering Asian dinner that is not only simple to prepare but also tastes better than any takeout you could ever get. This pepper steak stir fry is a supper that can be produced in the convenience of your own home that is of restaurant quality!
This meal is made of steak that has been seared, bell peppers that have been cooked, and a flavorful sauce. The sliced peppers need to be cooked until they are soft as the first step in the procedure. The next thing that has to be done is to put the flank steak that has been cut very thinly onto the pan. The 2-minute sauce, which is poured over the meat and veggies and then allowed to boil until it thickens, provides the dish with its final touch. The supper is done as soon as you add a bowl of steaming rice to the dish.
You may store your steak in the freezer for twenty to thirty minutes to make it less difficult to slice. By partially freezing the meat, it becomes firmer and simpler to slice very thinly. This dish normally calls for flank beef, which is widely accessible and very tasty. On the other hand, if you like sirloin or if it is more convenient for you to get, you may replace it with flank steak and get excellent results.
INGREDIENTS:
1 Tbsp.Of vegetable oil.
large-seeded red bell pepper; cut into strips.
A large-seeded green bell pepper; cut into strips.
11/4 Lbs.Of sliced flank steak.
2 Tsp.Of minced garlic.
1 Tsp.Of minced ginger.
To season; I used salt and pepper.
1/4 Cup.Of soy sauce.
1 1/2 Tbsp.Of sugar.
1 1/2 Tbsp.Of cornstarch.
PREPARATION:
1st Step:
In a large pan, bring one teaspoonful of the vegetable oil to a simmer over medium-high heat.
2nd Step:
Add the peppers and cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until they are just soft. Take the peppers out of the pan and arrange them in a single layer on a platter.
3rd Step:
Pour the remaining oil into the pan. Salt and pepper the meat to taste before cooking it. Use flank steak.
4th Step:
Raise the temperature to high. After adding the steak to the pan, start timing it for five to six minutes, or until it has a light browning.
5th Step:
Once the garlic and ginger have been added, continue to heat for another thirty seconds. Put the peppers back in the pan with the steak when you've finished cooking them.
6th Step:
Mix the soy sauce, sugar, a quarter cup of water, and cornstarch together in a small bowl using a whisk.
7th Step:
After the sauce has been poured over the steak mixture, reduce the heat to maintain a simmer. Continue to cook for two to three minutes, or until the sauce has just begun to thicken, and then serve.
