HOW TO MAKE ITALIAN DRUNKEN NOODLES
What comes to mind when you think of Italian food?
Maybe lasagna pasta dishes or spaghetti and meatballs, but there are many other types of pasta dishes that are popular in Italy such as DRUNKEN NOODLES.
There is just something about this slippery dish positively irresistible, so when you find another chance to bring it into your life, of course, you should, so feel free to make your own Italian Noodles.
It's equally slippery, almost like saliva, but instead flavored with Italian flavors like spicy sausage, red tomato sauce, onions, peppers, and fresh herbs. It's super tasty and fast too!
Ingredients:
One tbsp. of olive oil, divided.
One pound of Italian sausage.
One tsp of salt.
Ground fresh pepper.
Half a cup of red bell pepper.
Half a cup of yellow bell pepper.
Half a cup of orange bell pepper.
Half a cup of onion, thinly sliced.
Two of garlic cloves, minced.
One tsp of Italian seasoning.
Half tsp. of red pepper flakes.
Half a cup of white wine.
1 to 28-ounce package sliced tomatoes, undrained.
Two tbsp. of chopped fresh parsley.
12 ounces of egg noodles.
Directions:
1st Step
Heat half a tbsp. and brown the Italian sausage, in a 4-quart Dutch oven or large skillet.Then remove from the pan and set aside.
2nd Step
Heat the remaining half tbsp. of olive oil in the same pot, and after that, saute the onion, bell peppers, and garlic until fragrant, for about 3 minutes.
3rd Step
Now, pour in the white wine and reduce it until it's nearly completely evaporated.
Add diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
4th Step
Return sausage to pot and add chopped parsley and cook for about 5 more minutes, and while cooking the noodles, keep warm according to package instructions.
5th Step
Strain noodles and add them to the pot, and toss to combine.
